Maybe Trump will strike another deal with them to force the fees to be paid to the US in repayment if they pull some other BS about the fees. Jimmy Carter sure did the US a bad deed when he gave it to Panama for free.

Why can’t “PANAMA” become the 51st State? That solves all the problems. Think of all the money coming into the country via canal fees and tourism. They get full citizenship, they would get representation in Washington, and the full protection of the U.S. armed forces. We can even finish the PANAMERICAN HIGHWAY as well, it’s not that hard with today’s technology. Put me in charge of the project and get-er-done!
