They would turn off the main valves… if there were gas pipelines. Where those underground pipes not exist, people would have a large propane tank in their yard. No utility or propane service will run around and try shutting those down. That’s the property owners responsibility.
In the Camp Fire, afterwards I saw a number of those outdoor propane tanks that had exploded due to heat (it was not just a fire in Paradise, but a firestorm. That’s when highly resinous trees (pines) have their canopies catch fire and with high winds. Temperatures during the Camp Fire reached cremation level- at least 3000 degrees). When I was also in the 2008 Humboldt Fire, I heard a number of those large propane tanks screaming as they tried to exhaust pressure built up by the heat. Eventually, you’d hear a big boom as they exploded. Also, did you know that when it gets hot enough, trees literally explode into flames. I’ve seen it. Big boom.
BTW, PG&E is only in northern CA. There’s other power companies in the state. Don’t know what one could be in the LA area.
Hey gavin, remember when Trump was talking about raking the floors of the forests to prevent buildup that would fuel a fire. That’s right gavin, raking the floors. It clears up the debris from falling trees, branches, overgrowth to prevent fueling dried up material to minimize forest fires, you dumb ass. There is monster equipment to do that. It is not like you are raking your garden with a hand rake. But what would newsome know about a garden. He is a punk ass fruitcake that has probably never lifted a finger to plant a vegetable. He orders everything from a high-end grocery store and has it delivered.
Isn’t PG&E responsible for shutting down the gas service in an emergency

When President Trump was schooling Gavin Newsom, he acted like he could give a shit less about what Trump was saying now look at it all gone

Well I guess this huge forest fire goes to show you how incompetent Newsome is.
Yet Hollyweird voted for him!
I guess you get who you vote for.
