Every MMA fighter knows what they are getting into. It is a violent sport. But the way this article was told made it sound altogether different in the ring for the two fighters. The fact of the matter is, the woman with the knockout doesn’t know if the opponent is going to snap out of it instantly and come right back at it, so she took the finishing move and won the fight. It was a good fight. I did feel sorry for the woman who got knocked out. Sad to see her lying there until she came back online, she got up on her own and stood alongside the referee as he announced the winner. I’ve seen many fights like that. That’s the way it goes. If you can’t watch, don’t look. I find myself covering my eyes at times, but I admire the sport and the athletes who dare to be conquerors—her words from the hospital, “Part of the game. Congrats to Alexa. We got caught but are okay. We’ll be back soon, thanks for everyone checking in.” She is stable and is expected to recover and return to the octagon in the future. Let the fights begin.
I’m sorry but this is barbaric. I will never understand how anyone would participate. Then again I don’t like boxing either. Too dangerous. There are some sports you have to question. To each his own.
That was NASTY!!!
I love the announcer justifying it. Very violent.

Why any female would submit themself to this is beyond me.
I always enjoyed watching Rhonda Rosey. She was not in as violent a sport as this one.
Oops….Rhonda Rousey.
