From Fox News: A GOP lawmaker is moving to have Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, formally rebuked by the House of Representatives for appearing to mock Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s disability.

Rep. Randy Weber, R-Texas, Crockett’s fellow delegation member, told Fox News Digital he would introduce a censure resolution against the Democratic lawmaker imminently.

“The story of our great governor of Texas is one of unwavering resilience and perseverance. Meanwhile, the actions of Jasmine Crockett – stooping to vile levels of discrimination and despicable political attacks – are nothing short of reprehensible,” Weber told Fox News Digital.

He said the House should censure Crockett “for the venomous rhetoric she spews as a representative of the Democratic Party.”

Crockett has been blasted over multiple appalling statements she has made recently. The one about Governor Abbott, who has been paraplegic since age 26, occurred as she was speaking at an event held by the Human Rights Campaign over the weekend.

“Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there – come on now! And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot a– mess, honey,” Crockett mocked.

Crockett then tried to defend herself, claiming she wasn’t referring to Abbott’s disability, and then falsely claimed the President Trump mocks disabled people.  She wrote:

“I wasn’t thinking about the governor’s condition—I was thinking about the planes, trains, and automobiles he used to transfer migrants into communities led by Black mayors, deliberately stoking tension and fear among the most vulnerable.

“Literally, the next line I said was that he was a “Hot A** Mess,” referencing his terrible policies. At no point did I mention or allude to his condition. So, I’m even more appalled that the very people who unequivocally support Trump—a man known for racially insensitive nicknames and mocking those with disabilities—are now outraged.

“Keep that same energy for all people, not just your political adversaries. Finally, this is yet another distraction. Instead of obsessing over and hanging on to my every word, maybe my political foes should focus on doing the work of the people who elected us to improve their lives.”

Rep. Weber (R-Tex.) fired back, “Jasmine…words have meanings & actions have consequences. I look forward to introducing my resolution to censure you for your words and actions.”

“I plan to introduce a bill to censure Jasmine Crockett for her disgraceful and vile attacks against our Governor of Texas. This kind of rhetoric has no place in Congress,” declared Weber.

Below is a draft copy of Weber’s resolution calling for Crockett to be censured.

In another recent interview, Crockett declared that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) should be “punched,” and “has to be knocked over the head, like, hard.”
