From Breitbart: Former President Donald Trump received an impassioned endorsement from Grammy Award-winning country music star Gretchen Wilson during a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday, with the singer excoriating the Democratic party for abandoning the American people.
Gretchen Wilson appeared alongside Trump during his rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Before she performed, she spoke about her humble upbringing in Illinois and her family, which supported Democrats.
“Back in the day my family were all Kennedy Democrats. But that’s when the Democrats were on the side of the people,” she said. “Once I started paying attention to what was really going on, I realized the Democratic Party left us.”
She then urged Americans to vote for Trump-Vance in November in order to safeguard freedom.
Wilson said, “I grew up very much like Sen. JD Vance. I had to work hard and fight my way out of poverty just like many other Americans have done. But this is what I was taught to do. I had to EARN my way.”
“I’m here today to show my support for the only team that is tell you the truth,” she said, adding, “The American dream that I have been fortunate enough to find will almost certainly be lost forever if we do not show up and vote for freedom in November. It is on us! Let’s make sure we the people do all we can to save our country by voting for President Trump and JD Vance!”
