There should be stiff laws about criminals fleeing cops. Maybe if there was actually more punishment they would not.
I would pray there are circumstances in this case we are not aware of. However let’s take this at face value. A drug dealer was caught and attempted to flee. The cop trough a cooler in an attempt to stop his leaving. The criminal lost control and died… I say it’s the criminals fault.
This war on our law enforcement must end. If he beat a criminal to death that would be different

He eliminated a thug druggie selling drugs. Did James think the pig fleeing only sold one bag. Fat chance. There were allegedly 200 more bags in hiding.
I’ve spent 30 years in law enforcement. I can’t believe the lack of knowledge by everyone in this comment section. The verdict is indeed correct. There’s case law that addresses fleeing suspects and you should all do some research. I took an oath to defend and protect our constitution. In addition to following the law, I’m also bound by my training and adherence to department general orders/policies.
