Let’s wait for details before we make assumptions. What medications was the perpetrator on? That’s never mentioned. They jump to gun control immediately. Many of these are caused by mental illness or medication but those are never mentioned.

I don’t think it would be meds, it would be drugs like fentanyl of cocaine or maybe meds for ADHD.

Prayers for the families who lost beloved children, for the wounded, and first responders! You make this tragedy worse by politicizing it. Guns didn’t do this. So yes, I pray for the mentally unstable youth who did this.
What we need to ban is indoctrination in schools. Bring back civics classes. Teach the dangers of Communism. Quit making kids afraid of the police and bring in armed security and metal detectors so kids know they are worth protecting.

Awhile ago, Redacted reported findings that all of these shooters had been taking SSRIs. So 1) they all were mentally disturbed enough to require treatment, and 2) it’s also been reported that SSRIs can cause their own kind of mental collapse.
I noticed that “Biden” didn’t say a word about the problem with illegals having assault weapons, a fact that we’ve all seen in the Aurora video of a group taking over an apartment. Biden -Harris want to disarm Americans and allow illegal criminals to have guns. What’s wrong with this picture!
I feel sorrow and compassion to the families of all those killed or hurt. But as others here have said, it’s not a gun issue- it’s a mental health issue.

Second. Instead of demanding gun control why don’t we first uphold the laws in the books instead of reducing sentences. How about we do something about mental illness. Why don’t we secure our schools instead of just government officials. If the suspect is caught alive we need to change them in the school yard.

Make no mistake from me, my heart goes out to the family members of the teachers and students who were murdered by this thug. Also, to the family members of those who were injured no matter how slight the injury is, there is trauma and healing will be required with help from therapy. The thug who did this should rot in prison for the rest of his life. It’s a wonder the kid wasn’t taken out immediately by the security guards who were there with guns in position. The kid will be tried as an adult. I somehow don’t have any sympathy for the parents of the thug. Just what did they raise and how was the kid raised to think like this.

My heart goes out to the people who died today and to their families. The fact that a 14 year old walked into a school with a weapon raises real questions about his mental situation and his parents failure to protect this child from access to the weapon and ammo. Gun Control is not the answer since no criminals give a rats behind about having illegal weapons or shooting their victims. It also doesn’t help that the current administration is not controlling our borders nor the drugs coming in.i don’t support Gun Control. In most cases where an underaged person shoots people, their access to the weapon is because of the parents negligence. It wouldn’t hurt that each person who buys a weapon must attend a gun safety course before the weapon is released to the buyer by the vendor. Maybe then the underage access to weapons would be mitigated.
Excellent post…..I agree with gun safety classes. A months worth of them. A least 4 to 6 classes in all aspects of safety, handling, loading, storage.
