I have clients that are Hispanic and have been in the US for 15-20 years and are not citizens. They have applied and every year make their payments to the government. They have businesses and pay taxes and I believe they should come first. Should be case by case but not the ones that came in the last 4 years.
There are migrants here working season jobs with work Visa’s. They get paid wages but no other benefits. They go back home and return again especially in hotels and resorts. Some have been doing it for decades! No americans wanted those jobs and I actually watched a documentary on this. They asked a college student who complained about no jobs available. When they asked him why he wasn’t willing to take job at resort he said he wants a job with benefits, and I’m sure that was a common answer!
I worked at a resort right out of college…it was very hard work, and an absolute blast. Kids now are just spoiled brats without any work ethic whatsoever…

There used to be the bracero program for farm labor. They got no welfare or benefits. They lived in migrant camps. They couldn’t bring their family. They worked until the crops were in then returned home. That program worked well. We don’t need to give the locusts anything!!! In summer breaks while I was in high school, I worked on a tomato harvester. There wasn’t a SINGLE Hispanic in the crews. Not a one. It was all done by hs students and poor white women trying to make $ for their families.
And what’s up with “hospitality” workers? Are you freak’n kidding me?!?!! Due to my work, I’ve stayed at a lot of motels. It was rare to see an illegal cleaning the rooms. Again, it was done by poor white women.

The people would come in with a SS number, put 8 dependents on their withholding forms. No taxes taken out except SS. The worked back of the house.
Boom Social Security calls about a problem with SS number.
Next day employee comes back with a different number.
