We live in SC and have visited or gone through all these mountain town in NC. Its heart breaking that its been destroyed. We were planning on going to Pigeon Forge, TN in November for anniversary but I don’t think a lot of towns and roads we take is passable anymore. My daughter lives in Augusta, GA and it got hit hard too since it was on right side of eye. Lots of trees landed on power lines and roads. They say 95% of power was out after storm past in Augusta. We took in my daughter and her 2 children here in SC for this week. There was power outages in SC too. Our power went out 11 hours and internet 2 days.
So devastating. I live in North Carolina and our area has been devastated beyond belief. Lucky we didn’t sustain any damage. Lake lure is a place we took our kids to when they were young. So incredibly sad.
I wonder how long it will take for Biden to acknowledge this. And I bet Trump visits the locals first
