  1. This is the calamity of it all. If you want to donate, do it directly to the fire victims. First, under and uninsured. Second, community non profits, like the Boys Republicans, whose thrift store was burnt to the ground in Altadena and the Pasadena Humane Society. Third to the victims for their funerals and injuries. Not in that priority, but where one’s compassion lies. My family is living in their homes with no insurance to pay for the clean up. They can’t afford to replace all their belongings and home insulation that is damaged and tainted by smoke and their insurance doesn’t cover that. It’s tens of thousands of $$. They are not getting any funds. There are so many like them and worse off. There is also so much fraud going on as well.
