What I found crazy here in AR three of us on the same version plan had different problems. My husband had Internet but two of us didn’t have any service. When my daughter traveled to town , she had service. Yet when I traveled to town I did not( we live rural). I’m glad they solved the issue but this is why having a land line can be very important.
I doubt it was a software issue. Most likely a hack or cyber attack. Verizon does not want panic and distrust from customers so they will lie.

It happened in certain parts of Arizona and in California as well!
