  1. Tells us a lot about Columbia. They aren’t willing to spend any of their over $14 billion endowment funds to keep those staff members, but it was fine to spend our money. WTH.

  2. This is a sympathy ploy. Columbia obviously doesn’t want to fix the antisemitism on its campus. This is a big F you to all Jewish students and professors. How many of those that were laid off are Jewish. Colombia needs to stop lying and playing games. I hope your enrollment tanks. Not mentioning the endowments proves they support what happened. They’re not sorry one bit.

  3. The college lost their federal funding through their own actions.

I don’t get it. Why do these colleges support the harassment of any group on their campuses? Why are there not rules around this where discipline is strictly enforced? It should never be acceptable to mistreat anyone, whether they are a student, academic, or staff member. Just make rules the college says must be followed or there will be consequences. Then when something is reported, investigated it, and if it’s determined the rule was violated, the offender has to suffer the consequences.

  4. I hope all the offenders are put in jail until they can be deported or removed to their parents. If American citizens, remove them from the campus. Have their parents pack them up and pick them up. Remove all credits from them. It’s as if they never attended there. In other words, throw them the hell under the bus.

  5. Every student should feel safe and enjoy their college years for the amount of money they pay to you there. Guess the big Ivy League colleges are as great as everyone thinks. It’s on the college that they’re loosing funding and could use some of their nest egg if it is so important to keep these people
