Our friend had it with a subsidy. He had too much money in the bank at year end.
Lost the subsidy, premium had doubled.
Had to pay $14,000 to IRS.
One of my clients had to pay 31000.00 to IRS for Obamacare. He has a wife and 2 little girls! I told him to put that money in a savings account and if needed do self pay and negotiate with the hospital or doctors!
Veda, wow!! I agree. When Obamacare became law and Nancy Pelosi said we have to pass it to find out what’s in it was a light bulb moment for me. That’s when I switched from being a Democrat to Republican. Since 2017, I’ve modified to become a conservative libertarian. It’s been a real process. I’m sure some rogue judge somewhere is going to try to block this. It’s what they do.
90% of the nation has no idea what Obamacare is. In a nutshell anyone who is middle class, working and paying income tax is not eligible for the discounted and free medical services it offers. If you are an illegal alien, on welfare, not working, drug addicted vagrant, ghetto mom with 10 kids from 10 daddies, then u r totally covered.
Obamacare shifts the costs from serving these useless people to the working middle class. We are forced to buy health insurance by obamacare mandates. The health insurance is so expensive to subsidize and defray the costs of obamacare that we basically buy junk health insurance. Super high copay and almost no discount on anything.
Aside from expelling illegals, Trump should really try to sabotage and end Obamacare.
