Every State needs to do this. Here in SW VA, the illegals are overwhelming OUR schools taking valuable resources away from OUR Citizens when resources hard hard to come by.
BRAVO to OK 👏👏👏👏👏
I support education to children who are citizens with documentation proof. We will have to pay for freeloaders if they cannot provide legal status. I am not for that part. Those who cannot provide some proof of legal citizenship should not be enrolled. Not many children will have Passports but they will have birth certificates and if not, WHY NOT?. Why should we have our schools infiltrated with students who cannot speak or understand English and have no documentation to prove their legality. Then they must learn the language before they proceed to other subjects. They are using our system to get something for free. Do their parents pay taxes here. This is America, not south america of the United States. I support OK but they need to take it a step further on the non-citizens with no proof of citizenship here and not allow them to register. That means the US taxpayer pays for them when they don’t belong here. We don’t owe these people anything if they did not get here via the legal way.
Americans first after all they are footing the bills.
I’m glad Oklahoma is bringing back an old rule that was in effect when I went to school. I grew up in Texas. Hopefully a lot of states will add this rule.
Students need to speak English. Our taxpayers shouldn’t pay for translating.
