  1. Hopefully, if they don’t take the buyout they will just be eliminated and receive no severance package. A you snooze, you lose scenario.

    • If they accept the buyout, I sure hope they cannot collect unemployment benefits. Hope that is a written clause into the paperwork they sign once they accept the buyout. They will get their salary until September. But if they are still employees on probation, they will not get anything in the way of benefits. Any company can let an employee go in the probationary period at any time. That’s a given.

    • Many are already basically getting paid to do nothing… with no end in sight. At least this will get them out of the system.

      • Gee, wish I could have had a job like that for my 33+ years. I worked every shift start time, worked holidays when I rotated through the days off, and always made it to work even when we had 12 inches of snow and it was still snowing. I rarely took a sick day.

      • When they worked from home, no one knows if they were actually on duty for 8-9 hours or out shopping, drinking, or just lounging around in PJ’s doing nothing productive.

  2. Hey, if President Trump and Vice President Vance can report to work every day, so can these people. In fact, our President and Vice President are on duty 24/7 for the next 4 years minus 15 days already worked.
