Open up manufacturing in our country. Surely our country could make the products we purchase from these countries. Problem solved. But in fairness I think we could do a better job educating our young people of drug use as in dying. They will kill without a doubt. Some time it’s a slow death but with some it’s instant.
I agree with Trump, he is just going to do what other countries are doing, imposed higher prices and custom fees to anything coming from the US to Mexico and other countries. While they have free pass to their products in the US. Maybe now they will have a better interest in trying to control immigration and drug trafficking. It is said that the government of Mexico is controlled by the cartels, true or not is now in the best interest of the country to do something about it. Colombia is another one but they go through Mexico to travel their drugs. President of Mexico, dialog is not working US needs stronger measures because this is a huge problem. Let’s see what happens now, many are going to be affected on both sides but this is just a start!
I agree in part with the Mexican president. We do not do enough in our interior to stop drug dealers. I believe Trump will do that as well. But let us not pretend the cartels do not own Mexico and run out of their country into the US.
I applaud Trump. Anyone who is upset they might pay a little more is not looking at the true cost of drugs. Crime, death ,health care, foster care the list is long. I can’t imagine there is anyone that doesn’t know a horror story of a friends family or even a direct family member that drugs have effected. Even property issues. My nieces neighborhood went from a nice area to a trash dump of meth heads and crime within 5 yrs. They can’t afford to move because no one wants to live there. However as the Mexican president pointed out we don’t do enough in these communities to remove the drugs once they are here.
Trump is looking at this I believe from all angles. I pray Congress will help!
If Mexicos beliefs are that the drugs and the cartels are a US problem and not theirs, they are living in a fantasy. The cartels kill every politician that vows to stop them. I say let the US military in and let them handle it with no restrictions. Mexican authorities are bought and paid for to look the other way. Canada allows people to fly into their country and walk right into the US without any measures to stop them. That’s all Trump wants is to have their governments stop this. Canada cries about tariffs when it hits their products but they don’t want to bring up the fact the tariffs they already charge on US products coming into Canada. Trade wars might not be good on products in the beginning, but when the dust settles it will make a competitive market and drive prices down.
We need to focus on state and city governments to correct the crime in our country. City and state governments have a lot to do with the crime problem. It’s going to take time to fix these problems & we all need to remember this. We also need to fix the election fraud that is in a lot of local & state governments. Once we get these problems resolved then things will start to change.
Go screw yourself Trudeau. Trump will squash you. The term made in USA comes to mind.
