All state leaders need to figure out exactly where the money collected goes. Follow the money eliminate the waste and padding pockets of those opposed and trim the fat in all departments. Common sense people! Every government is too big and massive amounts of $$$ is paid by taxpayers and especially property owners!! And yet promises of roads maintained and schools properly funded among other things are not being fulfilled. Sales tax collected charges everyone. The more you purchase the more tax collected except where exemptions occur. We can figure this out and get our country humming and our citizens thriving.
Just imagine no property tax ! The real estate would be booming ! You can buy any house you want ! My dad passed away 2 years ago ago his property tax was 9000 a year . They reassessed now to 75000 a year . !! To me that’s theft!

Never should have been taxed to begin with. We bought our property and paid off our mortgage years ago so why should we pay on something we own? Its like paying rent for what is ours free and clear
I totally agree with you. You shouldn’t have to pay taxes on property you own. Good for DeSantis if it happens and if it does he’ll have plenty of people moving to his state. There’s so much theft it’s sickening. Where does all this money go. do we ever get accountability. Absolutely not and they tax your money over and over again. Talk about double triple quadruple dipping. It’s a disgrace and none of us get an accounting of where that money is going.
