I have a travel trailer and a pickup to pull it, and that is all I want.
Where I love there is no way an electric veichle would survive or be feasible.
I understand hybrid I think that is the best of both worlds I do not understand all electric unless you live in town and don’t travel far
If they were affordable, I might. As it is I could never afford one. Not sure the electricity will always be available to charge one either.
My hubby is not computer savvy
There it is!
It is sad that what type of car you purchase has become a political issue. If you like tesla then buy one, but to buy one to support Musk is a game for the rich. I have some fine older cars that work great.
Our electric grid will not support this mass electric vehicle push. They have a peak rate from 6:00-10:00 every day now, don’t want to think what it would be with all electric vehicles. Nothing against Elon but I’ll pass.
I am confused about the climate fanatics loving battery-operated vehicles in the first place. The batteries will destroy our environment when disposed of. So will the wind machines & solar panels. CO2 we need to exist…..rotting batteries….not so much.
They don’t think that far out.
They don’t think, PERIOD. joe biden was the brain-dead meat suit and that was even before his cognitive decline which was nil. He was a rotten senator, a more rotten vice resident, then a no brains resident.
I would be more app to buy an electric car if they were more affordable, had a place closer that works in them, charging station and could trust the battery life not to affect the resale value.
Elon Musk would make a fortune if he’d start making Hybrids!
This isn’t the time to spend a lot of money on an unproven technology that hasn’t out-performed our present technology in every way. Commonsense tells me to enjoy my ICE/hybrid Lexus, and my classic Morgan (ICE)…they are what works for me, at present. And, the present is all that matter…not testerday or tomorrow.
I would buy a hybrid but not an electric. I cannot justify spending $75,000 for a vehicle. That would be another mortgage and we only have two more years on ours. I want to keep a very small mortgage payment due to the deed stealing fraud these days, the bank’s name is on the loan and that makes it harder to steal or transfer anything. I drive about 20 miles round trip 2-3 times a week, so I don’t need or want a new car. I love my 2009 BMW and it will do just fine. I keep it serviced regularly and will get a Detailing soon. Less than 90,000 miles and I have had it since 2009 as a pre-owned certified vehicle. Now I might be skeptical about buying anything but new. Any pre-owned might have been in a flood somewhere.
I’m a contractor…it wouldn’t be right or fair for me to have to charge my truck everywhere I go….
Hybrid at lower price. Electric still has too many unknowns and costs way too much.
I think Elon Musk is great but I think the EVs are too expensive and inefficient as they have to be charged too often. I DON’T like the idea that Newscum is borrowing money for California to give money to illegals for healthcare. So he’ll put his state in more jeopardy! I hope Putin will change his mind about stopping the war!
We have 2 hybrids. I would only buy a complete EV if I never again had to travel more than 5 miles from home. In my opinion, hybrid is the was to go.
Both of our cars generate power to the battery when applying the brakes and only use gas at startup or anything over 45 mph.
We love them.
I don’t have the money to buy an electric car but even if I did..I can’t accept the concept that you have to look for charging stations to travel and spend much money to maintain an EV vehicle.
I’d buy a non-plug in hybrid though.
