There’s a sentence toward the end that says “if you can’t see the poll click here”. I did and was then able to vote.
Since evolution is taught as fact rather than the theory it is..
by all means Jesus should be taught in school. Sadly many parents do not even tell their children of creation. No wonder the world is full of crime.
Agree with you , Tricia.
Couldn’t find the poll but I don’t see why religion or Bible studies can’t be offered. If you don’t want to take it, DON’T.
But I definitely believe the pledge of allegiance should be mandatory. These young folks don’t have ANY pride in this great country!!
Religious, moral training should begin at home before the birth of the baby. Great biblical parenting is what is much needed in this country. Return to Godly values and standards.
Agree. But, some parents that disagree won’t follow through at home.
I do agree that we need to learn by example…morals, values and standards at home. There definitely could be a Bible Study Class after school. This would be a choice rather than entering a specific religion in the daily curriculum where issues could occur.
It should be an elective at the Middle and High School levels!
I say no. Not discouraged by any means but the mushlems will be all over it alongside every filthy democrat.
When my older children were in high school the Bible was taught as ‘literature’. It was amazing how many students then started Bible studies!
That was in Minnesota in the mid 80’s.
Absolutely not. Too many different religions. Last thing that needs to be taught is Islamism. I see no problem with silent prayer each child prays to whoever they believe in.
If you let one religion, you will have to let them all in, Muslim, devil worship etc. It could end very badly.
I believe they should have a Bible club for the children that wants to study the Bible. But it should be taught by someone who studies it and who go directly from the book not someone who just tells you about the Bible. There are people today that don’t believe what they read and want to give different meanings to the Bible. There are so many religions now and they want to teach from their own books even though they don’t go along with the King James Version, so it would be hard to teach God’s written words in schools run by the government. The schools are so messed up today they can’t even teach math right and come up with the right answer. What do you think they will do with the Bible I would hate to see what they would do.
Never . Religion is a cult. And not one cult agrees and any of it.
Christianity isn’t a religion or a cult. It’s a relationship with Jesus Christ who is real and our Lord and Savior.
THANK YOU!!!!! MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!!!
Exactly Vaughn! Thank you!
I remember in publuc school, we had “religious instruction” every Wednesday where we had a half day to go to a catholic school to learn about God and prepare us for our communion/confirmation. It was voluntary. Not all kids went because not all kids were catholic. (Communuiom/confirmation, a catholic ritual where girls would dress up in white with a veil. Boys would dress in black and white). Once we got to the school, we would get our Bibles out, sit at our desk, close our eyes, bow our heads and the nuns would pray before starting the lessons. Question and answers session at the end to make sure we understood the Bible teaching.
I believe if parents were to teach about Jesus at a young age followed by taking their children to church this would not have to be a issue. Teaching our young the teachings of the Bible before they get twisted by the ones that teach them that Jesus is not real. So many values and morals have to start at home. If we don’t teach our young the importance of God someone else will and that could be the wrong teachings. I will say a Bible class could be offered in electives if it is taught by a God loving qualified pastor. But most of the answers here are also correct. We would have to bow to every religion. Which those of us who believe in what the Bible says.. God said put no God above him. Parents this is a responsibility that starts at home. The corruption of the school boards will not teach them the values that our kids need as the foundation of Salvation.
No religion should be taught in public school. I will educate my children. It is MY RESPONSIBILITY AS A PARENT. Religion has no business being in public schools. If parents want religion, that’s what private schools are for. That’s what church is for. That’s what Sunday School is for. That is our job as parents.
If you want religion in school, YOU TEACH ALL OF THEM.
Even the 10 Commandments should not have a place in public schools. Every religion has it’s own version. How dare someone try to push their interpretation of God on me and my family. Public school needs to stick to reading, writing, science, arithmetic, music and art.
You want religion in public schools? Be prepared for all the crazies to come out and play. Including the Satanic Church. They have every right to be there and be taught just as other religions.
Religion is a very personal and private topic. It being in public school has no place.
Forcing religion on students and families will do the exact opposite you want it to. It will push people away from God. Not closer.
Reading though these comments … a lot of you need to get away from your tech screens and go experience the beautiful world God gave us.
& BRING BACK PLEDGE OF ALLIGENCE….AMERICAN PRIDE!
Where is the poll!
