We should definitely celebrate our vets over a month long of gay pride .
We definitely do not need a month long Black History Month, nor LGBTQ pride month. At this point now we already celebrate Juneteenth as a national holiday so we can eliminate Black History Month and eliminate LGBTQ pride celebrations. At least celebrating Memorial Day turning it into a month long celebration is more fitting
I voted unsure. The reason it depends on how it was done .. I think history is lost and the reason for these days like memorial Day is forgotten. Would talking about it all month and teaching about the lost heros fall on deaf ears?
If you say yes is that because we have lbgt plus and black history month? If you compare the two of course a whole month should be spent talking about why we have memorial Day.
Honestly we don’t need a whole month we need people to pay attention and teach their kids the meaning.. I wouldn’t mind a lead up of teaching to the actual day and then on the day have a huge celebration.
Our fallen brothers and sisters wouldn’t want us to carry this out for a month! We all know when we raise our hand, if we fail to come home, we will be mourned by friends and family and honored on Memorial Day
Voted no, because it is Memorial Day not Memorial Month. Our fallen Soldiers, Seamen and Marines would not want us to do it for a Month. There should be no month long celebration of ANYTHING !!! The long weekend for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day are sufficient !!!!! Queer Day shared with Black History month every Feb 29, if they must have a day !!! NOT A MONTH
I read the comments above and can agree with different ones. One day of remembrance, Memorial Day with a few days of lead up is appropriate, a month will lose what it is all about, by the 10th day people would overlook it.
As far as Black History Month I think it’s wrong, One day is fine to celebrate what has been accomplished but, we don’t have White history month, Italian, Irish, German, British history month, etc..

Memorial Day is a day to remember those that Fought and gave their Lives for this Country, to keep us safe, and to keep this country the Great Country that it is. Now that is a reason to have a day of Remembrance and a day to fly the American Flag.
If anyone does not like what we do, they can leave this country, I’m sure no one will stop them.
