  1. If it were just about the celebration of the birth of Jesus it would be. But it is mostly about the giving and recieving of gifts. All the major holidays are about family and friends gathering. My favorite in that aspect is the Fourth of July. Where we celebrate the founding of this Great Nation!

  2. My favorite is Easter when our Lord Savior died on the cross and rose from the dead. He took away our sins and gave us eternal life. He gave us love and mercy. Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!

  3. As a child I loved the feel of Christmas season. As an adult I like thanksgiving more . Same thing without the gifts and stress trying to find the perfect gift.
The birth of Christ is lost with the commercialization of buying presents.

  4. Halloween is my favorite. I used to love Christmas, but working in retail for 20 years and seeing how nasty people get around this time of year has truly ruined the holiday for me.

  5. The meaning of Christmas with the birth of Jesus Christ and not the commercial version. The time spent with family and friends and making new friends.

  6. I really prefer Thanksgiving anymore because Christmas has become so commercialized and it’s stressful trying to add fun Christmas activities and events, decorating, baking and gift buying to an already tight budget and schedule (and we never manage to do much which I then feel guilty about). I want to make this holiday special for my children and I wish I could enjoy it more but it always feels like a rush (and pressure) throughout the whole month of December to squeeze everything in. It’s also stressful trying to buy gifts when I really can’t afford it. I become so exhausted and then January is about trying to overcome all the spending and sugary snacking that happened. Plus having to take down and put away the decorations. There’s hardly time to contemplate the real reason we celebrate and yet I feel obligated to continue all the traditional everything.

  7. Christmas is commercialized these days and it just doesn’t feel like it used to !
Everything used to shut down in reference to the king of kings and lord of lords, Jesus Christ, our savior. Being a free country isn’t always freedom when you allow people to corrupt a godly nation that was founded on christianity long long ago.
