Out insurance just went up again! We are paying about $1000 a month. Hubby just had heart surgery so we had to keep it. Honestly if it wasn’t for that I would put half that amount into a bank account for paying doctors hospitals out of pocket from that account. With prices so high and extra 500 + a month would go along way. That’s not even counting the out of pocket because our insurance sucks! Then after taxes we are not able to survive off of my husband’s pay check. I have started a crochet business and have to use part of my profit that I should be putting back into the buisness to cover bills and groceries so we are never getting ahead . We are just trying to survive. Not including my husband’s plant is barely hanging on and has been laid off more then a month! His manufacturing plant is one of many in our area that’s barely hanging on. Under Trump’s first term (i trust my vote that we will see again) we were doing great. Even if we were hit with higher insurance we would have been okay.. we were booming!! Now we are struggling just like we did under Obama. So do I believe in Trumps plan? I trust my vote. I do not trust the rest of the officials to not screw up a good plan!
He needs to also look at the rising cost of care and services, dictated by the huge health care corporations… not just prescription drugs. Or what about drugs while you’re in the hospital? They will bill you $10 for one Tylenol tablet!! It wasn’t that long ago that If you went to the doctor for a problem or check up, the bill was $75 and a followup was included! I went recently and it was $360. I had to pay $240 out of pocket with insurance because my $2500 deductible wasn’t met. I’m lucky I’m in an ok place financially… but for simeone else, it could mean no money to pay the heating bill that month. Oh and I forgot to mention… I was seen by a PA… not a doctor! Didn’t matter. The charge is the same. So the big health care corporation is making tons of money and they don’t even have to pay doctor’s salaries. It’s a crime!
We paid less with the preexisting conditions thing attached before….they dropped off after a year. All Obamacare does is measure people based on their income and force certain people to pay for everyone that doesn’t pay anything. I’d rather have a preexisting condition than pay double simply because of how much money I make. The government measuring stick is seriously flawed.

I need more info. Sounds good on the face of it. However, I would also like to see the Dr make the decision with the patient about their health, and not be overruled by the insurance company.

We have to start somewhere to overcome all the damage the ACA has done to the middle class! They are paying thru the nose for coverage to pay for all the “free loaders” on ACA and who do not pull their own weight!
I am very fortunate my medical is totally covered and I pay little for my drugs . If it wasn’t that my husband had been a career marine when he died I don’t know how I would AFFORD medical coverage! SO LETS GIVE IT A TRY AND GO FROM THERE TO REFINE IT!
Obamacare is a fiasco. It is absolutely worthless. It is a TAX. The whole thing was a cluster fuck from day one. Smart doctors, and hospitals don’t accept it. We shouldn’t have to fund healthcare for other people and pay for our own.
There are plenty of alternative health care options. Find a health co-op, most are Christian groups, and join. When cash is used, the cost of medical expenses is a mere fraction of what you pay in the good ol boy insurance/health care control industries.

Anytime you get to make those choices that affect your own life….things are better !
