  1. You mean you can’t hire a babysitter or family member to fly your ass to work for a vote. We pay you 200,000 plus to work not even half the year pathetic. I made the choice to give up my job to be a stay at home mom. You could do the same

  2. I don’t agree with either. Proxy voting also leaves the door open for abuse. If there were a way to apply for a temporary, one time proxy, maybe that would work. But a standard proxy for child birth or any other reason is too easy to stretch it for other reasons.

  3. NO. I raised 3 and there was no 12 week baby care take off and no child care offered at my work and I didn’t work half a year for $200 thousand. You don’t come to work you don’t get paid, you get fired. They want to be in Congress then get a babysitter or take the child with you and put in baby care. If not, then quit until you can work properly. Wow, talk about Privilege, this is it, they think they’re better than us ordinary Americans.

  4. Why can’t representatives and senators vote remotely using technology? For crying out loud, corporation managers have zoom meetings to make decisions and vote on courses of action all the time. It can’t be that damn hard to set up something secure to carry this out.

  5. No proxy voting at all. This is another Pandora’s Box deal. No zoom voting….just in-person to do your job. Plenty of people can replace you if you can’t do your job.
