Yes! It’s Trumps and donors money. They can do with it what they want. When they have to get tents to have an event, tax payers probably pay that bill. So this will save money.
President Trump would not do anything to take away from the integrity of the White House. He is greatly appreciated it. Many who have toured it with him are have come away with great respect for him and historical knowledge. The White House has state dinners and entertains many. Why should tents be put up to host these dinners? If he wants to pay for it with donors then let him. I believe if there is a concern about who the donors are and a concern that they would be looking for favors then make it so it can be disclosed without uncovering who they are but covering himself against ridicule or suspicion. As far as oversight that is laughable. The man knows how to build and truly two million dollars ( although more money than I’ll ever see) seems more than reasonable for an addition to the White House. Some people spend half that amount on remodeling their homes. ( I watch HGTV😉)
