The stock market reminds me of those old carnival games! Seems so easy to win: just land a ping pong ball in a sea of open glasses (and win your very own goldfish)…except no matter how hard you try, that darn ball just bounces off the rim. So you move over to the wall of balloons: just throw the dart…seems easy enough…anyway, you get the idea! It’s also a lot like Vegas: when you win you win big…when you lose, you lose big!

Decades ago, I was chasing a double major in finance and economics. Both are more involved than one might think. One thing I learned though is that the markets don’t run completely on fundamentals, such as share price to earnings. It runs basically on fear and/or greed.
I voted “yes” not because there’s certain nefarious internal forces deliberately crashing the market, but because of external forces. This is media involvement. The talking heads are prophesying doom and gloom to the economy due to tariffs. You hear more about that than just hold and the ship will right itself. We are seeing the “fear” part of market force than anything else.
With this market downturn, what I see is a buying opportunity! Wish I had a money stash sitting somewhere I could take advantage and buy.
The Market has been manipulated for decades now. Probably since the 80’s and 90’s. Big Money by big Corporations and these Super Computers play a big part in it.
