Been to Market Common many times. There is a great Crepe restaurant and a bar that serves the best fully loaded Bloody Mary.
Glad no one was hurt!🙏🏼
Drip drip drip….this is delivered to make people afraid to fly. And to condition us …to eliminate air travel for the commoner.
Immediately thought Boeing
I did too, but this is a small aircraft, a Diamond DA40 and this appears to be a window section from the side of the aircraft. Those windows can be propped open from the bottom like a hurricane shutter protecting a window on a house. I compared it with the shape of the aircraft in a photo after finding out the model. This is a 4-seater aircraft similar to a Cessna 172 single engine prop. I belonged to a flying club and used to fly the C172 all the time. Very thankful that no one was hurt. It was probably a little noisy once it blew off, but not a problem to keep the aircraft under control to get it on the ground. I am surprised the pilot and student didn’t find it on a pre-flight check. That would have been on the pre-flight checklist and if a problem, written up in the logbook. Go figure. Maybe not a good instructor and not a good student.
Whoa! How scary!
