With all the technology especially with drones WHY don’t they f’n use it for events like this? Makes one wonder what truly goes on behind the scenes. Working for a major utility we have an entire fleet that used for tower inspections, storm damage and various other safety measures, it’s not rocket science and takes limited personnel to operate over large areas. One would think after the Butler Pennsylvania event the f’n geniuses would at least think about this technology, right? Maybe I’m missing something here but something just don’t add up.

What the hell are you talking about, FAA reguirements and pilot qualifications. They fly drones over building fires. Any law enforcement unit can use them and if need be can get permission to do so.
