Oregon is run by a bunch of lemmings. What ever CA or WA does they will just follow. No fore thought, no ‘let’s see how that worked out for them’, just blindly completing the west coast agenda
You are so right! I’ve said it before too- whatever California or Washington state do Oregon follow right along or does more. 😡
Automation alone is eliminating jobs that humans used to do. Ever recently walked into a newly updated McDonald’s? All the kiosks to order your food? Without ever having to interact with a human being, until someone brings your order to the table? Flipping burgers was never intended to demand $20/hr. These were supposed to be part time jobs for kids looking for summer employment to help pay for school or to supplement another part-time job. Not to solely support a family.
When that stupid law went into effect employment plunged via cut hours, from full time to no more than 16-20 hrs a week, no benefits, short shifts, etc. experienced staff had to quit. They hired anyone walking in and service took a nosedive. Yes businesses closed. All the mom and pop cafes couldn’t stay open. Sad state of affairs. Newscum is an ass and pray he never comes close to the presidency
