FIRING BACK: Trump cabinet members defend Susie Wiles amid liberal hit piece

Multiple members of the Trump administration are firing back in defense of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, after the liberal news outlet, Vanity Fair, published a “hit piece” early Tuesday morning on Wiles.

Over the past year, Vanity Fair writer Chris Whipple has interviewed Wiles multiple times, as well as multiple top Cabinet members. But the two-part article he finally churned out Tuesday did not exactly cast Wiles in the best light.

In a scathing rebuke, Wiles wrote, “The article published early this morning is a disingenuously framed hit piece on me and the finest President, White House staff, and Cabinet in history. Significant context was disregarded and much of what I, and others, said about the team and the President was left out of the story. I assume, after reading it, that this was done to paint an overwhelmingly chaotic and negative narrative about the President and our team.”

Nearly every one of Trump’s Cabinet members and top people in the administration have posted statements on social media, blasting the Vanity Fair and voicing their staunch support and respect for Wiles.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed the Vanity Fair article while speaking with reporters, and said Wiles’ words were taken completely out of context, and many of her important comments were completely left out of the article.

Vice President JD Vance addressed the Vanity Fair article while delivering a speech on the economy, and declared, “You know why I really love @SusieWiles? Because Susie is who she is in the President’s presence [and] she’s the same exact person when the President isn’t around… I’ve NEVER seen her be disloyal to @POTUS — and that makes her the best WH Chief of Staff.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote: “My dear friend @SusieWiles fights every day to advance President Trump’s agenda – and she does so with grace, loyalty, and historic effectiveness. Any attempt to divide this administration will fail.

“Any attempt to undermine and downplay President Trump’s monumental achievements will fail. We are family. We are united.”

FBI Director Kash Patel wrote “Fake news comes after you when you’re effective… and there’s nobody in @realDonaldTrump’s team more effective than @SusieWiles.”

Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote, “This is what the Left does: trash & smear our best & most effective people. They do it to President Trump daily — and now to Chief Susie Wiles. Susie is the most TRUSTED, most PROFESSIONAL & most EFFECTIVE Chief of Staff of my lifetime. Absolutely nobody better!”

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote:

Susie Wiles is arguably the most perfect presidential chief of staff in modern American history. She is the first female to occupy that position, but more importantly she is a leader who combines deftness, kindness, and compassion with a maternal toughness and discipline that elevates the entire White House apparatus.

Her impeccable judgment, moral center, intuitive understanding of the President’s intentions, and her ability to translate his vision into concrete policy have earned her universal trust and respect of the cabinet, which, consequently, functions more as an unusually efficient family than as assemblage of competing rivals.

Her mastery of politics, her encyclopedic command of every issue and policy, and her ability to instantly grasp the heart of every problem rival anyone with whom I’ve ever worked. Susie—like President Trump—understands how to wield power with purpose.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick wrote:

Susie Wiles is an historic Chief of Staff. She deeply understands President Trump and the MAGA movement, and she has played a key role in delivering victory after victory for the American people through her leadership and relentless work ethic. When I first met Susie on the campaign trail, she was tireless in her pursuit of delivering district after district for President Trump. Throughout that summer, she recruited me to run transition, and shortly after November 5, she was the very first person President Trump selected to serve in this administration.

Public trust in mainstream media is at an all time low and for good reason. They are untrustworthy and dishonest.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, also defending Wiles, writing, “I’ve known @SusieWiles for over a decade. She exemplifies integrity & dedication to our incredible President and country. The Queen of Florida politics – the architect of multiple successful governor’s and Presidential campaigns – she’s calm under fire, forthright, & results focused. Period.”

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum wrote, “I’ve known and worked with @SusieWiles for years and she is an extraordinary leader. She is disciplined, smart, insightful, strategic, and extraordinarily calm under pressure. Susie led a winning campaign, forged teamwork across @POTUS’ talented cabinet, and keeps this administration relentlessly focused. She is one of the most powerful executives in the world and a true force for good for the American people.”

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent released the following statement:

2025 has been a year of historic achievement by @POTUS for the American people, and @SusieWiles’ unwavering leadership has led the way.

Susie is an exceptional Chief of Staff, and her tireless dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the President are beyond reproach. Powerful leadership often works quietly – never seeking credit and always relentlessly driving results. Our Chief exemplifies that.

In the context of my forty-year career on Wall Street, which included meeting with hundreds of global leaders, Susie Wiles is the single most effective operator whom I have ever met. No one is more insightful, effective, and loyal. She never loses sight of the big picture while managing the daily agenda.

Regarding “Vain Unfair” itself, the failing legacy media’s laughable, inaccurate portrayal of President Trump and this Administration is precisely why the insular chattering classes in America lose their minds as we notch victory after victory for the American people. She is one of the most competent, principled, and courageous leaders I have ever worked with, and I am honored to stand alongside her every day.

Susie has been instrumental in helping President Trump bring common sense back to our country, and I am immensely grateful for her tremendous leadership, her dedication to the United States, our incredible President, and the American people.

Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer wrote:

Susie Wiles is a great friend, mentor, and the architect behind President Trump’s successful first months in office. I’m grateful for her unwavering commitment to the President, America First ideals, and supporting the American Worker.

This obvious hit piece is simply another desperate attempt from the MSM to attack President Trump and distract from the important work of this historic Administration. Our momentum will not be stopped.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon: “Susie is a force of nature – the shrewdest and most loyal Chief of Staff. I had the privilege of serving with her on the transition.
