In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced his office will be filing charges today against Nick Reiner in the death of his parents, Rob and Michelle Reiner.
Nick is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, or the death penalty. Hochman said a decision has not yet been made on whether they will seek the death penalty.
Nick Reiner is being held without bail.
Hochman urged people to not rely on rumors, speculation or conspiracy theories on the case, and said all the details and evidence will be presented in a court of law.
Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell said Nick Reiner was arrested “without incident” on the night of the murders.
