I lost my mom and my younger brother within 3 months of each other. My mom was told they can’t help her who was on Medicare. She had pneumonia. My brother had stomach cancer and was on Medicaid. They treated him like a number, not a person. He tried to get help for 6 months, losing 60 pounds. They finally did surgery when he was throwing up blood. They put a tube in him, and gave him 2 weeks to live. He died in a week.
