FROM DAILY MAIL: Horrific footage captured the moment a madman fatally stabbed a Ukrainian refugee from behind as she sat on a train in North Carolina.
The sickening attack unfolded on August 22, soon after Iryna Zarutska, 23, boarded a South End light rail train in Charlotte.
Cops identified the stabber as homeless man Decarlos Brown Jr., 35, who has a lengthy rap sheet, including an arrest for assaulting his sister.
Brown appeared to be watching Zarutska as she sat in the seat in front of him. Then he is seen reaching into his jacket to prepare what appeared to be a knife. He stands up behind Zarutska, who remains unaware of his attention, and the video cuts out as he lifts the blade to deliver the fatal blows.
It seems that other passengers were somehow unaware of the horror as Brown exits the area and strolls around on the train, leaving a trail of blood.
In the footage, he appears to mention stabbing a girl, although the audio is not clear.
Just before exiting the train, he removes his sweatshirt, ostensibly to absorb the blood.
Brownwas arrested soon after and charged with first-degree murder.
Zarutska’s family reports that she arrived in the US in 2022 “seeking safety from the war” and “hoping for a new beginning.”
