  3. Yes! Bring back furniture jobs to an area that has been devastated by Chinese imports! Was once a vital furniture mfg area of America!
    Yay!

  4. This will bring a lot of jobs back to NC in the furniture industry that flourished here. Between 1999 and 2009, North Carolina’s furniture manufacturing industry lost more than half of its jobs. The main reason was increased competition from lower-cost furniture (garbage) imported from Asia, mostly China. During the 1990s, 47 furniture companies closed in North Carolina, and the trend continued after 2000 with dozens of additional closings. I still have my bedroom furniture Henredon made here in NC in 1989. It was almost the cut off. Some of the garbage that comes from china is “kitty litter and glue”. It is throw-away type stuff. No thank you. I’ll keep what I have.
