  1. Wow! How tragic for those involved. I’d like to know why the vessel lost power? Also why people were on the mast. Are they not trained for a scenario such as this one? Lots of questions. Prayers for all affected.

  2. Could not the ship dropped anchor as soon as power was lost to stop the drift?

  3. Great question Mr Bill. Something doesn’t add up here. I cannot connect the dots causing me to be very suspicious. I seen to recall a similar situation in the USA when a large ship also lost power and totally destroyed a bridge. HUH!!!

  4. I believe this is the third ship to lose power when approaching a critical bridge.. seems very odd doesn’t it.
Also how would they not know the mast was to large to go under the bridge.

  5. Very strange that the crew did not have clearance information on the highest point of the bridge. Was there enough clearance if they had been in the center of the bridge to go under it. Is it possible to lower the masts and are they hydraulically powered. I have never seen people standing on masts.
