I think President Trump can be reactive. This bill is no different than the bills the Dems passed in the prior administration. I get why Elon is speaking up and I get why President Trump is defensive. They need to step back, take a deep breath and remember they work well together. With that said, Elon is not an elected official. He is entitled to his opinion. Trump is President, this bill is slimmer than what Dems have ever put forth. Maybe adjustments can be made. President Trump and the Republicans cannot become divided. Pass the important stuff first. The other stuff can be worked on. Don’t let the Dems get any power or this country is screwed.

I really don’t like the breakup between them, everything was great now this, but as many have said, if you go against Trump he will turn on you. For me I lean a little towards Elon because I don’t approve of kissing butt to get along with anyone. Both need to give a little and try to salvage the relationship they had, otherwise this could hurt both.
Elon became the richest person in the world for a reason. He created jobs and successful businesses. 90% of congress hasn’t created a damn thing except debt for us Americans. Trump needs to quit listening to the rino’s, we have seen this movie before in trump’s first term. Cutting the pork is essential and I trust Elon more than I trust congress. Elon is a great ally. I voted for trump 3 times now and he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again trusting republicans that can’t stand him.
I think this is all for show. I believe things are happening behind the scenes to bring out truth and real challenges and change. I pray for both and our COUNTY 🙏GOD’S LOVE AND BLESSINGS TO ALL.

These are two alpha males fighting like children. I can’t imagine what started it, but it needs to stop NOW! They are both good men but Elon doesn’t understand politics. The rules are that reconciliation can pass in the Senate with 51 votes and then recissions can be made also with 51 votes, but rescissions can’t be in the Reconciliation bill because only things that have not been voted in by Congress can be in Reconciliation. It seems complex but the only way they can cut is through rescissions because otherwise they will need 60 votes in the Senate which they don’t have. I don’t think Elon understands this. Please President Trump and Elon Musk drop this childish behavior.
Elon is acting exactly like Trump did at the beginning of his own first term: ignorant of politics and willing to believe in the goodness of political- doublespeak. I agree with the above writer who called these two “Alphas” clashing. But this is no business world they’re playing with: it’s the real world, and very very dangerous.
