I understand the families anger. However sparing them from the trial and years of appeals I can understand why the agreement was allowed
While I am beyond shocked that the State did not solicit the agreement of the four victimsā families involved, I urge all to consider what this actually means. He has pled GUILTY and admitted his crimes: no more trips out of prison, with better food, sympathetic voices in his ear constantly, and escape from the endless never-changing routine of prison life. Nothing to hope for. No changes for the rest of his life. He deserves this endless unbelievable tedium.
Really! The criminals get to choose!
Death should of been on table!
Victims should get to choose!
Everyone shouldn’t be upset. He will get the Death Penalty while in prisonš¤¬š¤¬š¤¬
Right on point Claude. He better bring a 50-gallon drum of petroleum jelly. Those inmates will back him up. Now the next piece of garbage will be luigi mangione and the rest of the trash illegal freeloaders.
Perhaps he’ll meet the same fate as Dahmer…..we can only hope.
I certainly understand the families desire for him to face the death penalty, and I do believe the DA should have informed them personally of this, however as time passes I hope they will realize that they would be spending years in court as he would go through all of the appeals and in addition to that they would have to be subjected to the horrible photos of their murdered children. I believe he will probably be killed in prison for this horrific crime and that they will receive closure in that way. Certainly life in prison without the possibility of parole will be an extremely painful life and even he will probably wish for death at some point. His life for however long it lasts is going to be miserable. Other prisoners will never accept what he did and he will live in constant fear.
I really feel for the families. I understand their anguish. He should have been given the choice of death by firing squad or death by lethal injection. End of story. He will not get to appeal anything with this deal. He will forever rot in prison. Prison has its own justice system. He may soon meet swift justice while showering. One can only hope.
