Outgoing first lady Jill Biden has unveiled her White House Christmas decorations for the final time, and this year’s display is being mocked by many on social media.

The theme for this year’s holiday is titled, “Season of Peace & Light.”

“As we celebrate our final holiday season here in the White House, we are guided by the values we hold sacred: faith, family, service to our country, kindness towards our neighbors, and the power of community and connection,” a statement in a White House press release reads.

The display was unveiled Monday morning in a media preview, and includes a tree covered in decorations resembling orange slices, an old-school carousel in the Blue Room with carnival music playing, and striped carnival-style curtains.

Reporter Cassie Semyon posted a video report on the decorations.

The White House X account chose some of the better photos to post on social media.

However, much of the wild display is being mocked as a circus, and described as “one final slap in the face.”

Conservative strategist Greg Price wrote, “Jill Biden’s Christmas decorations look like what would happen if a group of circus clowns projectile vomitted all over the White House, which I guess is the perfect metaphor to sum up the last four years.”

“Christmas under Jill vs Christmas under Melania. Who’s ready to have class back in the White House?” asked Libs of TikTok.

Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo mocked, “The White House just unveiled the new 2024 Christmas decorations. These drapes didn’t come from Williams-Sonoma, but from Barnum-Bailey!! I guess the decor is just making the regular jugglers and clowns feel at home. 🎪🤡.”

“Jill Biden has no class. Another very garish Christmas in the Biden White House. Christmas shouldn’t resemble a brothel for clowns,” wrote grassroots activist Scarlett Johnson.

Guillermo Farrell wrote, “The Biden family’s last stab at decorating the White House tree is less ‘Merry Christmas’ and more ‘What on earth is that?’ This tree isn’t just breaking the mold; it’s shattering it into a million pieces of what’s left of our holiday spirit. Is it a cry for attention, a desperate attempt at being memorable, or just a massive holiday faux pas? If the goal was to be the talk of the town, well, they’ve outdone themselves. But not in a good way. 🎄#WhiteHouseFiasco #BidenBlunder #HolidayHavoc #WhatIsThatTree.”

“These are the Christmas decorations at the White House. we are definitely in Hunger Games times. By the way, not a single symbol of Christianity Anywhere in there,” one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, “Is Jill Biden trying to outdo last year’s terrible Christmas? It sure seems that way with the pictures I see. I can’t wait until Melania Trump brings back a normal beautiful Christmas to the White House.”

Journalist George Behizy wrote, “Jill Biden just presented her White House Christmas decorations, and it’s truly the ugliest thing ever. Melania Trump’s return as First Lady is just as big as Trump’s return. The White House is going to look beautiful & glamorous again.”

“The Entire Administration is a Clown Show!” another user mocked.

Jake Schneider, Rapid Response Director for the Trump War Room, wrote, “What has Nurse Jill done with our White House? My God.”

Abigail Jackson, communications director for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) replied, “Absolutely cannot wait for Melania to be back in charge of decorating. Make Christmas Classy Again!”

“White House Christmas decorations are Circus themed. How fitting,” quipped Jackson.

In another post, Jackson added, “This is literally so ugly. every time i look at the picture it gets worse. for instance, i just now realized these aren’t actual curtains… they are a bunch of pieces of paper curled sloppily at the bottom and tied together with ribbon (or other paper?). it’s a mess!!!”

Podcaster Benny Johnson asked, “Who taught Jill Biden how to decorate for Christmas?”

“Elect a clown, expect a circus. :-),” equipped Bill Mitchell.

Multiple people are posting old photos of former First Lady Melania Trump’s Christmas displays, and are commenting that they can’t wait till she returns.
