John Bolton, who briefly served as national security advisor during the first Trump administration, from April 2018 to September 2019, is now trying to offer advice to those who might serve in President-elect Donald Trump’s next administration.

Bolton had previously served in the administrations of Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush.

However, Bolton was fired by Trump in 2019. He later wrote a book, “The Room Where It Happened,” which the Trump Justice Department attempted to block, due to concerns of it containing classified information.

Now Bolton is dishing out advice to whoever holds the job of national security advisor during the next Trump administration.

Doubling down after an interview with CNN’s Katilan Collins, Bolton announced on social media Monday morning, “As a former National Security Advisor, I would implore the next office holder to do everything he or she can to put factual information in front of the President and clearly lay out options as to how our country can proceed. While you have the duty to respect the Commander-In-Chief’s decisions, being a yes-man or -woman serves neither the President nor the country. https://mediaite.com/tv/kaitlan-collins-asks-national-security-advisor-fired-by-trump-what-advice-hed-give-to-the-next-person-in-the-job/.”

In another post on Monday, Bolton declared, “As I said to @BBC, over the next 4 years Vladimir Putin will once again attempt to play the United States and convince the next administration to withdraw support in Ukraine. It will be incumbent on our national security leaders to stand firmly with Ukraine and against Russia’s unprovoked military aggression. https://bbc.com/news/videos/cev92em0rneo.”

Bolton is getting a lot of backlash for interjecting himself into the matter.  Liberals are furious with him because he didn’t officially endorse Kamala Harris, and conservatives our furious with him because he turned on Trump.

“Sit down. Shut up,” Scott Ritter wrote.

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza wrote, “So the job is merely to place facts on the table and lay out options? Is this what you did? You never advocated for one course of action over another? Your presentations were entirely objective? If you reply, “no,” then this post collapses. If “yes,” who will believe you?”

One X user passionately wrote, “My whole life: you so called ‘national security leaders’ have led us into forever wars, wars of convenience, that we eventually lose, even though our forces never lose a battle. We fucking trusted you our whole lives: Killed for you, took wounds for you, lost brothers, and lost families.

“To come back to see our homes gone, family missing, and to sleep on the streets when illegal aliens got more help than we did. Shut The Fuck Up. May posterity forget you were ever our countryman.”
