While responding to questions in the Oval Office Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment in Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was once a MAGA favorite and staunch supporter, but has lately taken a number of controversial positions that has left Trump supporters stunned.
CNN’s Kaitlin Collins asked Trump about Greene’s latest criticism, as she has declared that she would rather see Trump focused only on domestic issues, instead of foreign issues.
“I don’t know what happened to Marjorie,” Trump said, adding, “She’s a nice woman, but she’s lost her way.”
He then explained why it is still necessary for a U.S. president to be involved with foreign issues as well as domestic, and pointed out the foreign wars he has helped to end. He said if he doesn’t helped end wars, the U.S. could be dragged into it.
In a brutal rebuke, he said Greene is now “catering to the other side… I guess she’s got some kind of an act going… I’m surprised at her.”
