President Donald Trump blasted out a fierce warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday morning.
This comes as Russia continues their deadly airstrikes against Ukraine, despite Trump’s ongoing efforts to work out a peace deal between the two nations.
On Monday, Trump wrote, “I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY! He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever.”
Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reportedly reacted by saying Trump’s comments were “connected to an emotional overload of everyone involved”.
In a fiery post on Truth Social Tuesday morning, Trump warned, “What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!”
Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley had urged Trump to get tough with Putin. In a post on X Monday, Grassley wrote, “I’ve had enuf of Putin killing innocent ppl. Pres Trump Take action AT LEAST SANCTIONS.”
