Republican Rep. Kat Cammack of Florida blasted out a statement hotly condemning New York Judge Juan Merchan on Friday, after he ‘sentenced’ President-elect Donald Trump in the ‘hush money’ case.
Merchan imposed a sentence of “unconditional discharge,” which means no jail time, probation, or fines, but labels Trump as a ‘convicted felon.’
In a series of posts on X, Cammack released the following statement:
Today’s sentencing of President-elect Donald Trump has nothing to do with “justice.” It’s LAW-FARE. Let’s examine the facts. A 🧵:
1. Judge Merchan donated repeatedly to a liberal PAC called “Stop Republicans.”
2. The PAC “Stop Republicans” raised $21.8 million from 2023-2024.
3. The STOP REPUBLICANS PAC then transferred millions to another PAC called “Stop These Oppressive People: Tyrants, Racists, Unqualified, Misogynists, Propagandists” aka “STOP TRUMP.”
4. Judge Merchan’s daughter is Loren Merchan.

5. Loren Merchan is the founder and President of a political consulting firm called Authentic Campaigns.
6. Loren Merchan’s company Authentic Campaigns was paid over $36 million in the 23/24 election cycle and raised over $100 million for Democrat clients during the Trump case.
7. Loren Merchan was paid over $9.7 million by the Biden and Harris campaigns.
8. The DA on this case, Alvin Bragg campaigned for his position stating he would, “Hold Trump accountable” and that he had “Sued the Trump Administration over 100 times… can’t change that fact, NOR WOULD I.”

9. DA Alvin Bragg used this rhetoric to raise over $850,000 for his political campaign as evidenced by campaign mailers, letters and emails.

All this to say, it’s undeniable that Judge Merchan perused this case because of his personal political agenda and for his daughter’s financial gain.
