WHAM! DOJ puts Don Lemon ‘on notice’ over his role in mob that stormed church, he scrambles to defend himself

Former CNN host and far-left news commentator Don Lemon not only “just happened” to be on the scene when a mob of anti-ICE protesters stormed the Cities Church in Minneapolis during their worship services on Sunday – but his own live-streamed video on YouTube reveals he was aware of the whole scheme in advance, including who organized the entire incident.

Lemon posted a nearly 7-hour video on YouTube on Sunday, as he follows along with the anti-ICE mob and defends their actions.

At the very beginning of the video, he says he just arrived in Minneapolis and points to a group of people behind him who are huddled up in conversation.

“It’s a very diverse community,” he touts, indicating that he first thought he was with the wrong group, because one person was holding an American flag, which he said is “kinda MAGA-coded.”

“These are resistance protesters, they’re planning an operation that we’re gonna follow them on. I can’t tell you exactly what they’re doing, but it’s called ‘Operation Pull-Up,” he boasts.

Lemon then reveals who is behind the whole scheme – Nekima Armstrong, who he says has been “doing this since George Floyd…. where they surprise people, catch them off-guard and hold them to account.”

“I can’t tell you where we’re going or where we’re gathered right now,” he told his viewers.

Below is a clip from Lemon’s video:

He then went along with the mob to the protest at the church, got into a confrontation with the pastor of the church, and repeatedly defended the entire invasion of the church.

Lemon also mocked families leaving the church with their children after the screaming mob invaded and disrupted their worship service.

“It is uncomfortable and traumatic for the people, and that’s what protesting is about,” he boasted.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement, “President Trump will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship. The Department of Justice has launched a full investigation into the despicable incident that took place earlier today at a church in Minnesota.”

Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights at the Justice Department, responded, “ON IT! @JesusOseteDOJ @AGPamBondi and a team of prosecutors and investigators are hard at work tonight. We will not rest until we are able to deliver justice.”

In another post, Dhillon delivered a stern warning to Lemon, writing, “A house of worship is not a public forum for your protest! It is a space protected from exactly such acts by federal criminal and civil laws! Nor does the First Amendment protect your pseudo journalism of disrupting a prayer service. You are on notice!”

“The @CivilRights is investigating the potential violations of the federal FACE Act by these people desecrating a house of worship and interfering with Christian worshippers,” Dhillon also announced.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also announced, “I just spoke to the Pastor in Minnesota whose church was targeted. Attacks against law enforcement and the intimidation of Christians are being met with the full force of federal law. If state leaders refuse to act responsibly to prevent lawlessness, this Department of Justice will remain mobilized to prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails.”

“This heinous act that occurred in Minnesota yesterday is receiving the highest level of attention from @TheJusticeDept. @AGPamBondi & I are working around the clock, because no right in our Constitution is more sacred than the freedom to assemble & pray to God,” Dhillon further stated.

Now Don Lemon is backtracking in a panic, claiming he was only acting as a journalist, and all the blame lies on the organizers of the protest.

“Why don’t you talk to the actual person who is in charge of the organization and whose idea it was to have the protests at the church before you start blaming me for stuff,” he whined.

“The MAGA administration and the fake news MAGAs are losing their mind over something that’s not even true,” Lemon lamented, again claiming he is only an innocent journalist.

As for Nekima Armstrong, the organizer of the protest against the church, her Facebook profile says she is a “Civil Rights Attorney, Social Justice Activist, Children’s Book Author, Woman of Faith, Entrepreneur.”

Armstrong bragged about the protest afterwards on her Facebook account. She wrote:

Friends, Here is a clip of our demonstration this morning at Cities Church in St. Paul. David Easterwood is a Pastor at this church and the Acting Field Director for the ICE office in St. Paul. It’s time for judgment to begin and it will begin in the House of God!!!

Thank you to all of the activists who showed up + independent journalists Georgia Fort, Don Lemon, DawokeFarmer2, Brixton Hughes. Special thanks to Monique Cullars Doty, Chauntyll Allen, Satara Strong-Allen for co-organizing this mission from Black Lives Matter Minnesota & Black Lives Matter Twin Cities Metro, along with Racial Justice Network. ✊🏿🙏🏿💜
