A video is now circulating on social media showing the damage to the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, after a man drove a Tesla Cybertruck up to the front door on the morning of New Year’s Day, and detonated explosives he had loaded into the back of the vehicle.

The explosion created a massive inferno, and injured 7 people who were standing outside the hotel at the time.

The driver of the truck has been identified as Matthew Livelsberger, 37, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, an active member of the Army’s elite Special Forces. He reportedly rented the Cybertruck and drove it to Los Vegas, arriving on the morning of January 1.

Investigators have determined that after parking in front of the Trump hotel, Livelsberger activated the detonation of the explosives, then shot himself in the head.

Despite the huge explosion, the hotel itself incurred little damage, as the strong Cybertruck mostly contained the damage and caused the explosion to go upward instead of outward.  The explosion did not even break the glass doors on the front of the building.

Journalist Collin Rugg shared a video on social media showing the damage to the building, which was minor, and noted that repairs on the building have already begun.

“This is one of the best Cybertruck ads ever,” Rugg quipped.

Shockingly, Rugg wrote that Tesla owner Elon Musk has said the Cybertruck “will likely be back on the road soon.”

Another social media user agreed, “This is probably the best advertisement the Cybertruck could ever have.”

“Can’t wait to see it after Tesla rebuilds it!” journalist Nick Sortor wrote.
