From Fox News: A former Bernie Sanders campaign adviser slammed former President Barack Obama Thursday for calling out Black men who do not support Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Why are Black men being lectured to?” former Democratic Ohio state Sen. Nina Turner said on CNN. “Why are Black men being belittled?”
The former national co-chair of the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign said that Obama was “wrong.”
“Now, a lot of love for former President Obama, but for him to single out Black men is wrong, and some of the Black men that I have talked to have their reasons why they want to vote a different way, and even if some of us may not like that, we have to respect it,” she said.
Turner explained further, “So unless President Barack Obama is gonna go out and lecture every other group of men from other identity groups, my message for Democrats is don’t bring it here to Black men who, by and large, don’t vote much differently from Black women.”
As she was speaking, the other CNN panelists sat there in stunned silence. You could have heard a pin drop.

Turner doubled down, posting a video clip on social media and writing, “Black men and Black women do not vote much differently, it’s wrong to single out Black men when Black men are the most loyal male voting block for Democrats. It’s patronizing and wrong.”

Turner has made it clear she believes the majority of Black men still vote Democrat. She’s just upset with Obama for trying to shame them.
“Black men vote overwhelmingly Democratic and have overwhelmingly supported both women who have run for President. Black male voters should be held up as a standard by the Democratic Party of what it looks like for men to support women electorally,” she wrote in another X post.
“Black men are socialized in the same patriarchal society as all men, yet have overwhelmingly supported women running for President. If Democrats want to discuss misogynistic voting patterns, Black men should be the last on the list.”

Obama was blasted by many on social meida over his comments while speaking to a group of Black men at a campaign office in Pittsburgh on Thursday, as he slammed and shamed Black men who refused to vote for Kamala Harris.
