Jon “Bones” Jones retained his UFC heavyweight title Saturday, defeating Stipe Miocic with a spinning back kick that led to a technical knockout.

Celebrating ringside with President-elect Trump, Jones mimicked Trump’s signature dance, drawing cheers from the pro-Trump crowd. Jones danced and pointed at Trump, who responded with a smile and a thumbs-up. In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Jones gave a spirited shoutout to the incoming president.

“A big, big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight,” Jones said, electrifying the crowd with cheers at Madison Square Garden.

Jones used the crowd’s energy to start a “USA! USA!” chant, which they happily joined in for, then voicing: “I’m proud to be a great American champion. I’m proud to be a Christian American champion.”

After the interview, Jones approached Trump, seated ringside with Elon Musk, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Don Jr., Eric Trump, Kid Rock, and Vivek Ramaswamy, and handed him his UFC title belt. Trump invited Jones to visit the White House next year as the 47th president.

While Jones hinted at continuing his career, the 42-year-old Miocic announced his retirement, concluding a Hall of Fame-worthy run as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters. Jones, widely regarded as the greatest fighter of all time, now boasts a 28-1 record with one no-contest.
