Former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, is speaking at a town hall event in Warren, Michigan Friday evening, which is in the southeast area of the battleground state.

Earlier Friday afternoon, Trump spoke at an event in Walker, Michigan, near Grand Rapids.

The event in Warren Friday evening will be held at Macomb Community College. Trump is expected to speak about the auto industry, manufacturing jobs, inflation and the economy.

Trump was originally scheduled to speak at 6:00 pm ET, but his arrival was delayed, due to the afternoon event going longer than scheduled.  The town hall event is now expected to begin around or a few minutes before 7:00 pm ET.

Massive crowds were seen waiting to get into the event:

Last weekend, the mayor of Hamtramack, a suburb of Detroit that is about 60% Muslim, announced he is endorsing Trump for president.  The Mayor, Amer Ghalib, a Democrat, is an immigrant from Yemen.

“Half of the VIP section in Trump’s town hall today in Warren, MI are Arab Americans and Muslims. Wow,” announced Oubai Shahbandar. “Mayor Amer Ghalib of Hamtramack (majority Muslim suburb of Detroit) has really set something in motion in the state!”

Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications, Margo Martin, posted a photo of Trump in the middle of a telephone call while aboard Trump Force One, as he traveled from Walker to Warren.
