In response to the wave of recent violent attacks against Tesla, President Donald Trump bought a Tesla car on Tuesday, as a show of support for Elon Musk.

Trump announced in a post on Truth Social late Monday night that he intended to make the purchase.

“To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is “putting it on the line” in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s “baby,” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” Trump wrote.

“They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out? In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???” he added.

Tuesday afternoon, Elon Musk had five Tesla vehicles delivered to the White House for President Trump to choose from.

Trump explained that he wanted to buy the Tesla to show his support for Musk, who he said is being treated very unfairly.

“But here’s the bad news. I’m not allowed to drive. I haven’t driven a car in a long time, and I love to drive cars,” Trump said.  He added that instead, he’s going to keep it at the White House and let his staff use it.

Pointing to a sporty red Model S, Trump said, “The one I like is that one, and I want the same color.” He said he would pay with a check, and he didn’t want any discounts.

According to NBC News, the vehicle is listed on the Tesla website for $73,490, or $88,490 for the all-wheel-drive Model S Plaid.

Musk said it will go from 0 to 60 mph in 2 seconds.

President Trump hopped inside to check it out.

About to get into the car, Trump debated what to do with the papers in his hand, and joked, “They gave me notes. I’m not Biden! I don’t need notes!”

Elon Musk makes announcement about Tesla’s future…

Despite the attacks from the radical left on his brand and Tesla dealerships, Musk is not running away. Instead, he’s doubling his efforts.

He announced Tuesday, “In support of the policies of President @realDonaldTrump and to demonstrate our confidence in the future of the United States, @Tesla commits to doubling vehicle production in the US within 2 years! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.”

Musk first made the announcement outside the White House.

Trump praised Musk for what he is doing for America, and said he is being treated very unfairly. “He’s a great patriot, and he’s done an incredible job,” Trump said.

President Trump vowed he will label those who are attacking Tesla dealerships, or any other American company, as domestic terrorists.

Musk brought one of his children, “Little X”, along with him.

Below is a video of the entire event:

One X user shared a comparison… ‘How it started, and how it’s going.’ The first photo is from an electric vehicle summit Joe Biden hosted at the White House in August 2021… and specifically excluded Tesla.

Now Musk was asked to bring his own fleet of vehicles to the White House for the President to choose one to purchase.
