President Donald Trump delivered remarks at a White House reception Thursday afternoon, in honor of Black History Month.

The event was attended by a packed roomful of Black conservatives, including golfing legend Tiger Woods, who wore the Presidential Medal of Freedom which Trump had given him at a White House ceremony in May 2019.

Many prominent figures were in attendance, including HUD Director Scott Turner, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Rep. John James (R-Mich.), Alveda King, and former NFL player Herschel Walker, who Trump appointed as U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas.

Another attendee was prison reform advocate Alice Johnson, whom Trump pardoned in 2020. Trump announced during his remarks that Johnson will now be his “pardon czar,” and will make recommendations to him about people deserving a pardon.

The president also brought up attorney Leo Terrell up to the microphone. Trump appointed Terrell to serve in the Department of Justice.

Tiger Woods first declined to speak, but the crowd chanted for him until he had to.
