Amid all the backlash against CBS News for deceptively editing interviews, Kamala Harris’ campaign is also being blasted for doing the same thing.

It is common, and acceptable, practice for short clips to be cut from a larger video. However, it is another matter when the clip is cut or edited in a way that it deceptively changes the meaning behind the original footage.

Tuesday afternoon, the Kamala Harris campaign posted a short clip of former President Trump from an interview he participated in before the Chicago Economic Club Tuesday morning.

Trump was being interviewed by the highly contentious and liberal Bloomberg News’ editor-in-chief John Micklethwait.

Posting a clip from the interview, the Harris campaign claimed, “Trump belittles auto workers, saying they just assemble parts “out of a box” and says children could do their jobs: “We could have our child do it”.”

But that’s not what Trump was saying at ALL. He was referring to car companies who pre-assemble most parts in foreign countries, then ship it to the US to be installed and try to call it ‘made in America.’

The Trump campaign fired back with a longer version of the video which tells the whole story.

“More lying and deceptive editing from a campaign built on lies and deception. President Trump was referring to European car companies that circumvent tariffs by shipping their parts to assemble in America. Here are the 20 seconds that Kamala HQ didn’t feel the need to include,” the Trump campaign wrote.
