The annual March For Life rally took place Friday in Washington, D.C., as an estimated 150,000 pro-life supporters flocked to the nation’s capital to stand up for the right to life for every baby.
“After decades of efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, organizers are now focusing on the ongoing state-by-state battles over abortion rights,” Fox5 reported.
The Associated Press wrote: Protesters had come to the capital for decades to call for the repeal of Roe v. Wade, which affirmed a constitutional right to an abortion. Now, with the repeal of Roe in 2022, they are now on the inside rather than the outside. With Trump’s return to the White House and Republicans in control of Congress, the activists want to build on their victories.
A rally was held at the Washington Monument grounds. Attendees then held a massive march down Constitution Avenue towards the U.S. Capitol.
Both President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance delivered speeches at the event. Trump’s pre-recorded speech was broadcast to the crowd on a screen, as he was traveling to North Carolina and California on Friday. However, Vance delivered his speech in person.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) spoke ahead of Vance and Trump, telling the crowd, “House and Senate Republicans are committed to protecting innocent life.”
“For two decades before I was elected to Congress, I served as a constitutional law attorney, and I litigated cases to defend our fundamental freedoms like religious liberty and the sanctity of human life. And now, in this role that I have as speaker of the House, I’m working to defend those freedoms in a different way,” Johnson promised.
Yesterday, the House passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Just one Democrat joined us.

The crowd went WILD when Vice President JD Vance appeared in person at the rally.
“Our country faces the return of the most pro-family, most pro-life American president of our lifetimes,” Vance said.
“I want more babies in the United States of America,” Vance said. “I want more happy children in our country, and I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and. to raise them.”
Vance vowed that the days of the Justice Department going after pro-life activists are over under the Trump administration.
“No longer will the federal government direct FBI raids on the homes of people like Mark Houck and other Catholic and Christian activists who are fighting for the unborn every single day… and no longer will our government throw pro-life protesters and activists, elderly and grandparents or anybody else in prison. It stopped on Monday, and we’re not going to let it come back to this country!” Vance said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) also spoke at the rally, bringing his wife and three young children on stage with him.
